Futabasaurus suzukii

Futabasaurus was one of many genera of Elasmosaurids; plesiosaurs that are known for their substantially long necks, among the longest among vertebrates. They were primarily ambushing cruisers; feeding on smaller animals like fish, crustaceans, and possibly the young of fellow sea reptiles, by stealthily approaching them and using their snare-like teeth to seize and trap them. Futabasaurus is a medium sized Elasmosaur, known from the Late Cretaceous-aged Tamayama Formation of Japan.
